Hayate

Hayate has a stocky, solid build — broad-shouldered for his age, with warm brown skin and olive undertones. His face is round and full. His eyes are dark brown, calm in expression though rarely matching his actions. His hair is very dark brown to black, short-to-medium with a natural tousle.

He is eleven. This is important. He should read younger than his fighting ability suggests — a child's face on a fighter's frame. He is not polished. He is explosive, imprecise, and magnetic.

His default expression is a kind of restless energy — always about to do something. When he smiles, it's sudden and genuine. He carries grief as rage because rage at least feels like it's going somewhere. By the end of Season 1, standing in front of burning Kibou, he learns what it means to be the steady one.
